But when asked to come up with a list of 10 valuable lessons for kids to learn, I ended up with:

1. Life isn’t fair.
2. You can’t make everyone like you.
3. Sometimes you have to do things you don’t want to.
4. No one likes someone who is bossy (unless they’re being paid, and even then…barely).
5. It’s good to say you’re sorry.
6. You are stuck with your family, so be nice to them.
7. Sharing = caring
8. You’ll  never know if you’ll like something till you try.
9. Karma’s a bitch (reworded in a kid-friendly way).
10. Spend more time outside, and less watching tv. You’ll regret it as an adult if you don’t.
